Join us for 4 days of horses, horses and more horses.

Avalon Farm is offering two 4 day camps for the beginner through advanced rider. The camps are designed for 6 to 16 year old young people who want to learn about and be introduced to the world of riding and horses.

The camps are well staffed and our horses are carrot-motivated. Course content ensures that the child / teen receives a solid background in safe horse-handling and conduct so that they can fully enjoy the beauty and companionship of these wonderful animals.

We offer hands on, practical learning fun. Join us for one or all of the sessions.

The cost is $225 per session. Lunch is not provided.

Pre-registration is required to prevent over-crowding and to ensure quality instruction.

Beginner Level
Provides basic horse knowledge for first time campers or those who have never worked with horses.

  • Riding skills in English & Western
  • Stable Management.
  • Grooming Techniques I.
  • Theory Class I.
  • Horse Safety on the Ground.

    • Intermediate Level
    For those who know how to properly walk, trot and canter.

  • Introduction to Specific Disciplines.
  • Includes: dressage, eventing, hunters, jumpers, western pleasure, horsemanship.
  • Grooming Techniques II

    For those who show or jump and desire to increase their skills.

  • Show quality riding skills.
  • Includes: dressage (1st - 4th levels), eventing, hunters, jumpers, western pleasure, horsemanship.
  • Equine facility management.
  • Grooming Techniques III.

  • Equipment Selection and Use.
